Thank you so much for your interest in the Dance/Drill Team Programs at Tivy High School.  Dance/Drill Team is a rewarding and exciting sport that teaches teamwork, dedication, leadership, and the benefits of hard work; not to mention it is a lot of fun!  With your candidate, please read the attached information carefully to ensure you understand the time and financial responsibilities and commitments you are making. 

The Sapphires are the JV level dance team in the Golden Girl Organization.  We specialize in pom, jazz, and other visual routines.  The Sapphires will perform at all varsity football games, some pep rallies, winter and spring shows, and community events.  They are a performance team.  The Sapphire team allows young ladies the opportunity for growth before being on the varsity level Golden Girl Dance Team! These ladies will be continuously pushed to be their very best self at all times! It is recommended that all candidates have a year on JV prior to moving up to Varsity unless scores show otherwise at tryouts.
 
The Golden Girls are the Varsity Level Dance Team at Tivy High School specializing in ALL genres of dance.  They perform at all varsity football games, pep-rallies, community events, winter and spring shows, and two or three mandatory competitions in the spring semester! The Golden Girl Dance Team allows young ladies to continue to master their responsibility, leadership and community involvement as well as dance technique.  They are a competitive team and the Golden Girls are held to an incredibly high standard year round.  You must continue to work hard every day in practice in order to perform and grow.
