TIVY FIGHT NEVER DIES

From the Blue & Gold colors proudly worn and displayed throughout the community to the pilgrimmage up Tivy Mountain for Freshman as they enter high school and Seniors as they leave high school, Tivy High School is brimming with tradition and pride.

TFND means to keep being resilient. Keep going even after setbacks. The fight isn’t about never failing, it’s about never giving up.

TFND is a motto with a life all its own. It unites the community, not just the school, and calls everyone to persevere, to rise above, and to seek to overcome hardship as an individual and as a collective. It means that the fight in us all remains as a source of strength to draw from in difficult moments and to build up in times of victory.

TFND means that when met with a challenge, the only question is how you will push through, not if you will.

TFND represents perseverance, passion, and the drive to keep pushing beyond your perceived limits. It’s about carrying that same determination and spirit into every stage of life, always striving to learn more and become better than you were yesterday.

TFND is a mantra that the youth of Kerrville grow up hearing about and fully buying into. Students are introduced to it in elementary school, participate in it during middle school, and fully embrace it by their freshman year at Tivy. To me, TFND was a hard lesson learned during the gut-check days of Tivy football. It taught me that no matter the odds or how difficult the opposition, you never give up and you never stop trying.
